With cities like Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra likely to be released from lockdown very soon, we’re all hanging out for a fabulous brunch date with our families and friends.

However, after months of hanging out in trackies and toothpaste-stained tops, we’re going to need a helping hand with pulling a look for our very first restaurant appearance.
Luckily, makeup and fashion influencer Martha Kalifatidis is here to save the day, and has taken to her Instagram Stories with her best advice for dressing for brunch.
In a Q&A, Martha offered four pointers and a number of recommendations.
“Honestly, I always prefer casual lewks to dressed. Nothing looks cooler than being comfortable. Period!” Martha wrote as her first piece of advice.
“Always consider the place/venue you’ll be having brunch, that way you can dress accordingly,” she advised.
“Always dress for the weather. Nothing more tragic than a girl in a summer dress with an open-toe shoe, wearing a winter coat and standing in the freezing rain with wet feet,” she explained. “It sounds too bad to be true but I’ve seen it with my own eyes!”
Finally, Martha shared that “if all else fails, you can always dress up a clean, casual, tried and trusted piece with some great accessories.”
So, without further ado, here are Martha’s best brunch looks (and where to get your hands on them!).
A bucket hat
Although it might seem a bit ‘toddler at the beach chic’, bucket hats have come back majorly over the last few years. Look no further than Martha herself, or Lily Collins in Emily in Paris. The bucket hat is a cute, casual accessory that can complement almost any casual look.
