Married at First Sight contestant, Lauren Huntriss has announced she is engaged to her boyfriend of two years, Wade Burns.
The 35-year-old makeup artist took to Instagram to share the exciting news. “Today my best friend got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was the easiest yes! I can’t wait to grow old with you,” she captioned a photo of the pair smiling with her engagement ring in focus.
The announcement comes shortly after Lauren paid tribute to her beau on Instagram, where she wrote: “I may not have found love on @mafs but I always knew that the universe would align me with the right person once I healed and learned to love myself again.”

Lauren first appeared on Aussie television screens during season six of Married at First Sight Australia in 2019.
The then-31-year-old country girl was married to videographer Matthew Bennett during the experiment. Her groom’s virginity dominated the pair’s storyline throughout the season and whilst they had initial chemistry, the couple’s relationship quickly soured.

Following the show, the couple made it clear in a number of social media posts and interviews that they were not on good terms and Matthew moved on with British girlfriend Annabelle, who he met before the show aired.
In November 2021, Matthew announced he had proposed to his girlfriend, taking to Instagram to share the news.
“She said “YES!” 🥰🥰🥰,” he wrote. “It took me long enough to ask, but @belajameson you are the best thing that ever happened to me and I’m excited for our life together.”
