It’s been shaping up as one of the biggest seasons of House Rules ever.
Pete and Courtney showed their competitive streak when they failed to beat Katie and Alex in the early room reveal last week.
“Obviously we were hoping that our room would be the favourite,” Pete told New Idea.
“But Katie and Alex’s room was stunning. We loved that room as well.”
While the couple may have fought tooth and nail for a winning score, Pete and Courtney say that their competitiveness is just a desire to do their best for the homeowners.
“A huge part of the show for us is thinking about the people who are actually going to live in the home because that is something we really want for our home,” Courtney confessed.
“We see competition as bettering yourself every single week and learning from what feedback you’ve been given from judges and homeowners,” her partner added.
“All you can do is be your best and try your best.”
