Let’s face it: the dress is the most important part of every wedding. Well, aside from the love and all that, but the dress!

WATCH: The proposal the started it all!

And ahead of her real-life wedding to Cam Merchant, Jules Robinson let us all go dress shopping with her!

Sharing the lead-up to the big day with A Current Affair, the Married At First Sight star took viewers along as she turned to Australian bridal designer Nicky Velani to find her perfect pick – the second time around!

I feel like a mermaid,” she said as she showed off her first dress – a tight-fitting number that was reminiscent of the gorgeous body-con gown she wore when she ‘married’ Cam on MAFS

The second gown – a floaty dove grey number – was beautiful, but not quite formal enough for the star.

[It’s] not ‘wow’ factor. The other one was a ‘wow’ factor,” said her mum decidedly.

The final dress was clearly the winner, and the one we all hoped to see her sashay down the aisle in – and her family agreed!

You look like a princess!” her mum exclaimed as she emerged from the dressing room in a bejewelled gown complete with a full skirt.

I love this,” replied Jules, who quipped that she felt like Cinderella

“I think [Cam would] love it. I look like a princess. I think he’d think… Oops, feel a bit emotional!”

I am getting emotional now just thinking about it.

“It’s going to be lovely.”

Of course, the dress that she actually debuted on the aisle was something totally fresh – and even more beautiful than we could’ve imagined!

The floaty, soft-pink meringue gown by designer Nicky Velani was a handcrafted dream.

There’s over 300m that we’ve gathered and created,” Jules shared.

“I’ve got, like, butterflies pumping through me and a bit of adrenaline and yeah, I can’t wait,” she spilled as she slipped into her frock.

“It’s going to be amazing.”

And, of course, it was!

As the pair stood hand in hand, ready to kick off the ceremony, Cam was eager to get things moving.

“Do we kiss now?” he quipped, earning a laugh from the enraptured guests.

The big day didn’t come without its share of drama, though, with former best friend and Married At First Sight co-star, Melissa Lucarelli missing from the event.

Mel revealed last month she was unexpectedly dumped as a bridesmaid and cut from the guest list via text message

“Not only was the text cold, but she used our friendship for her own publicity. She was posting about how amazing it was and how much she loved me, but it was clearly all an act. I feel completely blindsided by this, as our relationship and everything was real to me,” Melissa told NW Magazine of their fight.

The season’s most hated contestant, Jessika Power, also weighed in on the drama, siding with Mel in an unexpected yet blistering Instagram tirade. Responding to an article about the juicy scandal, Jessika wrote: “I actually have to back Mel on this. Throughout filming, Jules would say Martha [Kalifatidis] and I were only there for social media and endorsements, but since the show ended it seems that’s all Jules is for also.

“It’s really sad to see that Jules dropped Mel as a bridesmaid but not surprising, it seems everything that woman does these days is calculated and beneficial for her and her only.”
