Meryl Streep joins Big Little Lies season 2

Big Little Lies has landed Hollywood iconic Meryl Streep for season 2.

Streep joining the award winning HBO series is a rare move for the three-time Oscar winner, who has not appeared in a major TV role since the 2003 miniseries Angels in America.

The actress, 68, will play the character Mary Louise Wright, the mother of Nicole Kidman’s character Celeste Wright.

Big Little Lies season 2 is expected to air in 2019.
