Are TV villain Josh and Austin actually that bad?

My Kitchen Rules contestants Ibby and Romel have some rather savage views on the devout Christian brothers.

Speaking to WHO, Romel confessed he had a “soft spot for Josh and Austin”.

They somewhat reminded me of myself when I was their age. Obviously I was very, very mindful and very cautious of people’s feelings. How I said it and how I delivered things,” Romel revealed.

“The reason why I say they remind me of me when I was younger is they are passionate, they are extremely hungry. They have a mission in life and nothing is going to stand in their way.”

“How they present themselves being on that road might be slightly different to myself when I was their age,” says Romel, adding, “I think they rub people up the wrong way, but I think that was their intention. They’re not stupid boys. I think they went on this show wanting to ruffle some feathers.”

On Tuesday, Romel dished again to The Daily Telegraph, “I genuinely find it quite humorous to think that they are under the impression that we are the real villains.”

“From what I observed, Josh and Austin are fame wh**es, they love the attention and they went out of their way to ruffle feathers.”

“The one thing with Josh and Austin is that they are probably the two most jaded and delusional individuals I have ever met in my whole entire life and I would say this to their face,” he added.

Josh and Austin revealed last week that they think Ibby and Romel are actually the baddies.

On the show, Josh said, “I’m trying to hold my tongue as long as possible and just observe everyone in the room but I feel my word vomit coming, I can’t hold it in.”

Telling Ibby and Romel, he said, “You two, what I thought that you two had in common was that you like both had mail order brides but the gay version.”
