Absolutely devastating news for the singer

Pink has bravely opened up about the meaning behind the raw lyrics on her newly released album, Hurts 2B Human.

“Since I was 17, I’ve always hated my body. And it feels like my body’s hated me. Can somebody find me a pill to make me un-afraid of me?” she sings on her new single ‘Happy’.

Despite the title, the mum-of two explains that the meaning of the song is the complete opposite and is in fact about a miscarriage she suffered at the tender age of 17.

“The reason I said [that] is because I’ve always had this very tomboy, very strong gymnast body, but actually at 17 I had a miscarriage,” she told USA Today. “And I was going to have that child.

“But when that happens to a woman or a young girl, you feel like your body hates you and like your body is broken, and it’s not doing what it’s supposed to do.”

The American star – who shares children Willow and Jameson with husband Carey Hart – went on to reveal she actually lost several baby’s when she was younger.

“I’ve had several miscarriages since, so I think it’s important to talk about what you’re ashamed of, who you really are and the painful s***,” she said, adding, “I’ve always written that way.”

“I believe in self-confrontation and just getting things out,” she said. “What I love about therapy is that they’ll tell you what your blindspots are. Although that’s uncomfortable and painful, it gives you something to work with.”
