Ian Somerhalder to star in Netflix series V-Wars

Ian Somerhalder is returning to the vampire world with new Netflix series V-Wars.

Somerhalder will play Dr. Luther Swann in the 10-episode first season order based on books of the same name written by Jonathan Maberry.

Swann enters a world of horror when a mysterious disease transforms his best friend, Michael Fayne, into a murderous predator who feeds on other humans.

Somerhalder previously starred in popular series The Vampire Diaries as Damian Salvatore.
