Bryan Greenberg has joined the Emily In Paris family!
The actor plays Jake, an American working as a Consular Officer for the U.S. Embassy in the French capital.
Whilst sparks are already flying between Jake and Emily, the real life Bryan has his own rom-com worthy love story with wife, Jamie Chung.
Who is Bryan Greenberg?
Known for his roles in One Tree Hill, The Mindy Project, How to Make it in LA and Suits LA, Bryan is no stranger to the small screen.
He’s also starred in films including Friends With Benefits, Bride Wars and Prime.
Teasing his Emily In Paris news, Bryan shared a still of himself and leading lady Lily Collins in a supermarket with the caption, “Jake from Michigan meets Emily in Paris.”
How did Bryan Greenberg and Jamie Chung meet?
Speaking to PEOPLE, the couple recounted their first meeting at a pool party when Bryan was in a relationship and Jamie was newly single.
Whilst nothing happened during their first encounter, the pair reconnected five years later in New York whilst Bryan was working on TV series How To Make It In America.
According to Jamie, Bryan’s co-star Victor Rasuk called her to say, “I’m going to dinner with your biggest crush, would you like to come?”
They hit it off once more but didn’t speak for a year afterwards until reconnecting in Los Angeles. But Jamie confessed that they had one more break before committing to each other.
“And then he broke up with me for two weeks and I erased his number and I was heartbroken. And then he called me and it was the first time I ever heard his voice on a phone and then he asked me back and I said ‘Maybe’. And then here we are.”
The couple tied the knot on Halloween 2015 and the rest as they say, is history!
10 years and counting
Bryan and Jamie are still loved up after over a decade together, but they’re all about keeping the spark alive.
During an appearance on Today With Jenna & Friends, Bryan admitted that the secret behind their successful marriage is staying curious.
“You can really fall into the role of ‘I’m just a dad,’ or, you know, ‘I’m just a mom,’ ” he said. “You kind of forget about each other, and I think it’s important to … check in, ‘How are you doing? What’s going on with you?’ Oh, you’re evolving too as a person. You’re not the same person I met 10 years ago or 15 years ago. So changing … I just think keeping that curiosity is imperative.”
Do Bryan Greenberg and Jamie Chung have kids?
Not only are Bryan and Jamie madly in love, but they’re also proud parents of two.
In October 2021, the couple welcomed twin boys via surrogacy, though in a bid to keep their children’s identities private, they have not disclosed their names to the public.
“We got double the trouble now @jamiejchung 👶🏻👶🏻,” Bryan wrote on Instagram at the time.
Before welcoming their babies, Jamie opened up about her fertility issues and why she decided to freeze her eggs, praising her husband for his support.
“I have the best life partner a person can ask for and I know I want to one day raise a child with Bryan. I’m just unsure when that will happen. And I realised that’s ok.”
