If you were hoping to catch a cheeky glimpse of Bachelor Matt Agnew and his winning lady sneaking around Melbourne, being all cute and refusing to hide their love and whatnot, you’re in for a long wait.
The 32-year-old has revealed that he’s been totally banned from seeing his chosen one – at all – until the season plays out in full!

And it sounds like the distance is causing some drama, especially given all we’re about to witness in the coming months as the hottest astrophysicist we’ve ever seen embarks on his journey for love.
We’ve all already seen Matt make out with no less than 17 contestants on his quest to find The One, and we can’t help but wonder how the woman in question – who’s no doubt seen what we have! – thinks of the whole spectacle.
“It’s certainly something that we’ve chatted about and it’s something that’s quite a sensitive topic really,” he recently admitted to Yahoo.
Watching your guy get it on with a bunch of your fiercest rivals? Yep, we’d call that sensitive!
“It’s just something that needs to be handled in an empathetic manner and I think that’s achieved by just maintaining a very open and honest dialogue and working through and addressing things if there are things that cause concern for one another,” he explained.
Um, swoon. Perfect answer, Matt, 10/10.
As for not seeing each other while the series runs, Matt admits he and his ladylove are on “very tight leashes” – so if you were hoping to catch a sneaky hotel rendez-vous before the finale, a la Sam Frost’s season of The Bachelorette, you’ll be in for a long wait!
But it will definitely be worth it, Matt insists.
“I’m delighted with how the process worked out for me, and I’m very, very happy,” he told The Courier Mail.
“I went into it [the show] pretty confident in myself and that I would make the right decision for me.”
As for just who that lucky lady will be?
Many fans are tipping chemical engineer Chelsie McLeod as the one to steal Bachie Matt’s heart.
However Newcastle nurse Elly Miles caused a stir on the first night when she was awarded not only the first rose, but also the Golden Ticket – securing her place as a frontrunner in the game of love.
One thing’s for sure – we’re stocking up on popcorn…
