The eldest child of the former Olympic swimmer and her ex-husband Grant Kenny died last week at age 33, after a private battle with a long-term illness.

Now less than a week following Jaimi’s untimely passing, her mother has written a devastating message on social media in the midst of her grief.

Posting to her 83,000 Instagram followers on Tuesday morning, Lisa uploaded a beautiful photo of herself and Jaimi embracing, with the caption: “😞💔👼 I don’t know what to do….”

Lisa’s gut-wrenching confession comes as the Curry-Kenny family, including younger siblings Morgan Gruell and Jett Kenny, laid Jaimi to rest at a memorial service over the weekend in Queensland.

“Yesterday, as the sun was setting, we said goodbye to you, our Jaimi,” Lisa wrote on Instagram, reflecting on her daughter’s funeral.

Lisa said the room was “full of unconditional love” as “we farewelled you…. always our bubba”.

“It was just perfect… beautiful, quiet, pretty and sparkly… just the way you would have wanted it,” Lisa said of the service.

“Jaimi…as dad and I lovingly held you when you took your first breath, we lovingly held you as you took your last. Our hearts are aching, but know you will be forever with us, and forever loved wherever we go.

“Our little angel, you can now rest peacefully. Free of pain, free to flourish and free to grow, free to just be… Goodnight sweet girl… we hope you have a nice long sleep.”

The family first broke their silence on Jaimi’s death last week, with Lisa admitting she could “hardly breathe” she was in so much pain over the news.

“Our hearts are completely broken. Our beautiful daughter Jaimi has lost her battle with a long-term illness and passed away peacefully in hospital yesterday morning with her loving family by her side,” Lisa revealed, alongside a photo of herself and her daughter.

“So loved. So beautiful. So kind to everyone…. So painful. I can barely breathe.

“I will miss you every sunrise, I will miss you when the sun is shining and the birds are singing. I will miss you when the clouds are dark and stormy and when the rainbow appears. I will miss you when I close my eyes. I will miss you when I open my eyes. I will miss our long hugs and long chats.”

“I just can’t believe you’re not here anymore. I sit and just shake my head. It doesn’t seem real or right. You will forever be with me in my heart Jaimi. I love you so much.”
