Meghan Markle and Prince Harry caused a stir when they swiftly unfollowed all the charities and causes they had been following on their Sussex Royal Instagram account last week.
The royal couple then looked to their fans for who they should follow for the month of August, and asked for suggestions of causes, communities and people that are a “Force for Change”.

Their Sussex Royal call for help read: “For the month of August we look to you for help.
“We want to know who YOUR Force for Change is…. Each month, we change the accounts we follow to highlight various causes, people or organisations doing amazing things for their communities and the world at large.
“Over the next few days please add your suggestions into the comments section: someone you look up to, the organisation doing amazing work that we should all be following, an account that inspires you to be and do better (or that simply makes you feel good), or the handle that brims with optimism for a brighter tomorrow.
“We will choose 15 accounts and follow them next Monday, as we spend the month of August acknowledging the Forces for Change in all of our lives.”
Thousands of followers responded, with hundreds of worthwhile charities and causes suggested by the public.
However, despite many royal fans calling for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to refollow their fellow royals, Prince William and Kate Middleton, it seems this time they haven’t made the cut.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are not on the list of the 15 ‘Forces for Change’ that are being followed this month.
The apparent snub has again fuelled rumours of a royal rift between the couples.
Other fans have focussed on the positive, and praised the royals for shining a light on some worthwhile causes.
