Since tying the knot in 2006, Pink and her husband Carey Hart have become one of music’s most beloved couples.
From featuring in music videos to touring across the globe, the 45-year-old singer has welcomed fans into her relationship with the motocross star – offering a candid insight into the ups and downs of their relationship. While their love story may not have always been smooth sailing, with the pair splitting briefly in 2003 and 2008, Pink and Carey’s bond has stood the test of time, and in January 2025, the couple commemorated their 19-year wedding anniversary.
“19 years ago on a beach in Costa Rica, we both took a chance we weren’t sure we even believed in. I’m so glad we did,” Pink wrote to Instagram.
As the couple continue to celebrate their lifetime of love, we look back on Pink and Carey’s relationship.
Who is Pink married to?
Pink has been married to her husband, 49-year-old motocross star Carey Hart, since 2006.
In true rock star fashion, the couple first crossed paths in 2001 at the Summer X Games in Philadelphia and began dating shortly after.
While their early relationship may have only lasted two years, with the pair splitting in 2003, Pink and Carey reunited just over a year later and in June 2005, Pink popped the question to Carey while he was competing.
As he entered the third lap of his race, Pink walked onto the track holding a hand-written sign that read, “Will u marry me? Serious!” and six months later, the pair tied the knot in Costa Rica.
“I knew within the first few weeks of meeting her that I wanted to be with her for the rest of my life,” Carey later told People.
After two years of marriage, Pink and Carey sadly divorced in 2008, with Pink’s publicist explaining in a statement, “This decision was made by best friends with a huge amount of love and respect for one another. While their marriage is over, their friendship has never been stronger.”
While fans may have been saddened to learn of their split, the couple eventually called off their divorce in April 2009. Speaking on their rekindled romance, Carey told People, “We’re rebuilding. Sometimes you have to take a couple of steps backwards to move forward.”
In 2021, Pink reflected on how her relationship with her husband had evolved, sharing, “We’ve really grown up together.”
“When you first get together, you look at that person as your entire world. One person can’t be your entire world… I used to be super needy. Now, we expect less of each other, and that allows us to give each other more somehow.”
Now, almost 25 years after they first crossed paths, both Pink and Carey took to Instagram to celebrate 19 years of marriage.
“I’ve been with you longer than I haven’t. You’ve been my one constant,” Pink wrote, adding, “You have loved me, hated me, and loved me again. I love our story no matter what gets written. It is gritty and sweet. Thank you for being by my side all these years. I love you forever.”
“For over 20 years we’ve travelled the world, made a family, and created amazing memories & life together. Not bad for a couple of kids who weren’t expected to amount to anything. You are like a fine wine, and I love you,” Carey shared in his own tribute.
