REVIEW: 'Close'

Forget Bodyguard‘s Richard Madden – if you really want your life protected, who better than the original girl with the dragon tattoo herself?

In Netflix movie Close, Noomi Rapace plays bodyguard-for-hire Sam, whose straightforward job looking after spoilt rich kid Zoe (Sophie Nélisse throwing off some “Tik Tok”-era Kesha vibes) takes a turn for the deadly when a gang of armed men descend on the family’s safe house in Morocco.

Thanks to a combination of stunning locales and intense action, Close gets away with its less convincing elements. But who needs believable dialogue when you have murder with a fish hook? (On Netflix now) 3.5 stars
