Deni Hines is the first campmate this season to leave the I’m A Celebrity jungle. The 55-year-old singer now joins a small group of celebrities in the show’s history to utter the famous phrase and leave by choice.

The decision sparked a huge response from viewers, with many admitting they were pleased she was hanging up her camouflage bandana after instigating hard-to-watch conflict in the camp, with one interaction even leaving fellow campmate Nath Valvo in tears.

However, Deni told WHO she didn’t care one bit about the backlash.

“Everybody’s got an opinion like an a***hole,” she told WHO.

“I’ve been doing this for so long, if you’re going to sit there and get caught up [on someone] who has nothing else to do in their life but take the time out of their day to go to your page and write something nasty, I mean, there’s people I don’t like, but do you think I have the time to go and write something on their page?”

Why did Deni Hines quit I’m A Celeb?

Deni was in The Jungle for a week and struggled to adjust to camp life.

Being stuck eating beans and rice for consecutive, dealing with a bush toilet and navigating campmate tension eventually got the better of her, and she decided to walk.

“I’m gone now, so they can’t get me anymore,” she told WHO.

Fans accused Deni of being a “pot stirrer” and expressed “relief” when she left, with much of the drama so far this season involving her.

“Honestly hope she takes some time to reflect on what happened,” one viewer wrote, while another said, “thank goodness”.

Has Deni Hines kept in touch with her campmates?

Since this season of I’m A Celeb is all pre-recorded, the celebrities are all watching along with fans at home.

Previously, the celebrities were in The Jungle and viewers would watch along live.

When asked by WHO if she’d kept in touch with her campmates while watching the season unfold, Deni confirmed she has.

“Not Cyrell, no,” she confirmed, touching on the conflict she experienced with previous MAFS contestant Cyrell Paule.

“But I reached out to Concetta, I follow Luke, Dyson, Gary, and Rachel and I have swapped numbers.”

Who has been eliminated so far from I’m A Celeb?

So far, no one has been eliminated from I’m A Celeb this season.
