Miranda Chopping has emerged as one of the most talked-about contestants on Farmer Wants A Wife 2026, thanks to the drama that has followed her since, well… the very start.

This season, the 21-year-old Instagram influencer was vying for Farmer Zac, a 24-year-old apple farmer from South Australia, who quickly formed a bond with Miranda, even taking her on a solo date to a flower farm.

But this budding romance was eclipsed by controversy, which erupted when fellow contestant Grace revealed that Miranda had called another woman, Maya, “desperate” for pulling Zac aside for a chat at the Country Ball.

The comments made their way through the group, eventually reaching Zac’s twin sister, Isobel, who raised concerns about Miranda with her brother. Miranda later confronted the other women over telling Isobel she was disengenous, creating one of the season’s most heated exchanges and eventually leading to Miranda being sent home.

For longtime fans of the show, this friction was at odds with previous seasons of FWAW. Traditionally, Farmer Wants A Wife is known for the deep friendships that develop between the women, with many contestants remaining close long after filming ends.

However, Miranda’s experience has been notably different. Far removed from finding a tight-knit sisterhood, Miranda told WHO that she doesn’t regularly speak to anyone from Zac’s farm.

“None of us are on bad terms. I’ve cleared the air between all of us, but I don’t speak to anyone on a daily basis,” Miranda said.

She went on to say that she isn’t in any ‘Farmer Zac’s Farm Group Chat’, but wouldn’t rule out that one exists — she just wasn’t invited to join.

“I don’t talk to any of them in a way like that. They might have their own group chat without me, they might be planning more things against me, but who knows?” she said.

Who is Miranda still friends with from Farmer Wants A Wife?

Given her clashes with Grace and Maya, Miranda didn’t find many long-lasting friendships among Zac’s bunch.

“I am still friends with Mieke [from Zac’s farm], but nothing too much, because everyone lives in different parts of the country,” she admitted.

Miranda did find that she connected with two women from Farmer Dylan’s farm. “I still speak to Scarlett, and I am quite close with Lily, because she also lives in Queensland. But that’s it, really. I have a pretty busy life outside of Farmer Wants A Wife.

Miranda thinks Farmer Zac’s ladies were ‘immature’

Miranda wanted to make it clear that there are two sides to the story in her clash with Maya, and perhaps, her side wasn’t fully shown in the episode.

“I think there’s a lot that you don’t see, and the audience needs to remember that. Just have a look at the other girls and what they were saying behind my back. Is it really fair that I’m copping all of this because I made one comment about a girl when they’re clearly going behind my back and doing the same thing?” Miranda vented to WHO.

“I was also the youngest girl on the show, and I think some of the girls handled it very immaturely in comparison to me.”

The moment that ‘blindsided’ Miranda on Farmer Wants A Wife

After Maya warned Zac’s sister, Isobel, about Miranda’s ‘mean’ behaviour, his twin sister grilled Miranda in a moment that left the real estate worker feeling ‘blindsided’.

“I think Isobel didn’t really give me a chance, which was quite disappointing,” Miranda said.

“Obviously, I went in there wanting to have a good conversation with her, and speak about Zac. But I walked into that conversation, and just was completely blindsided… literally got interrogated as soon as I walk in the room. I think it was a really unfair situation.”

Miranda addresses the ‘pathetic’ backlash from Farmer Wants A Wife viewers

Miranda addressed some of the backlash she’s received online, with some accussing her of going on FWAW just to boost her Instagram followers.

“If I was going to go on a show for fame, it wouldn’t be Farmer Wants A Wife, so I don’t know why people are thinking I’m not genuine,” she said.

“I haven’t really looked too much into any [comments[. I don’t read comments, I don’t really read articles or anything like that,” she continued.

“If people are going to have an opinion on me just because I stand up for myself and tell people how it is, I think that’s pathetic.”

Miranda says she didn’t plan to be the FWAW villain

Miranda went in with all guns blazing from the FWAW premiere, but she says that she didn’t plan to be a villain — she was just acting like herself.

“I think I went on there with intentions just to be myself, but obviously, in this situation, I’ll take it how it comes,” Miranda said.

“If there’s a situation where I need to stand up for myself and put someone in their place, I’m happy to do that.”
