Farmer Wants A Wife has been quite juicy this season, and Monday night’s episode was no exception, with plenty of drama at Farmer Alex’s house.
The tension started after Rachel accidentally discovered a secret journal entry written by Eddy, in which she had written to Alex, saying she wanted him to explore his connections with the other girls so he could know for sure that their connection was the best.
Understandably, Rachel and Suzannah were upset by this because they felt that if Alex and Eddy’s connections were so strong, why was he telling them that his heart was still open to the possibility of finding love with one of them?
So, Rachel had confronted him, asking if he had “tunnel vision” for Eddy.

“There’s a part of me that can’t stop thinking that your mind is already made up in Eddy,” she told him.
“Eddy and I have connected. But there’s still time left, and if I was gonna walk, I’d walk,” he replied. “I’m not closed off, is what I’m saying. Don’t worry.”
However, the reassurance meant nothing in the end because Alex still chose Eddy for his next date and didn’t try to get to know the other girls better.
On Monday night after the journal revelation, Alex apologised to Rachel for sending her “mixed messages”, adding, “I mean it when I say I’m exploring with everyone. Yes, I’m connected with Eddy… If I felt like there wasn’t anything else worth exploring, Eddy and I would walk because it would be a waste of your time and Suzannah’s time.”
For her part, Eddy explained that the letter was never meant to be read by anyone and was meant only for her eyes.
How Alex ‘knew something was different’ after date with Eddy
Although the conversation might have been a tad awkward, it also wasn’t entirely unexpected.
In an interview with WHO, Alex said that although the night was a “blur”, he knew something was about to go down when he and Eddy returned from their date, thanks to one telling detail.
“It was the first time I came back to the house where the whole house was lit for filming, so I knew that something was different,” he explained.

He continued, “Usually they just have like set places for interviews and whatever event you’re doing that night, and then everywhere else was sort of free rein, but when I got back to the house, everything was lit.
“I was immediately sort of on the defensive, and it all unfolded, and I didn’t really have much of a chance to process it, so seeing it unfold on screen will probably bring a lot more light to the situation for me.”
The following day, before the physical chemistry test, Alex decided to send Suzannah home, telling us that he felt they had more of a “platonic connection”.
“The conversation was fine between the two of us and we could have a joke, but there wasn’t a buzzing kind of chemistry between the two of us,” Alex told us. “As we said goodbye, there were no hard feelings at all, it was just an acceptance of the reality of the situation.”
