A large point of contention in the Kardashian-West household this year has been whether or not Kim Kardashian and Kanye West should let North, 6, wear makeup.

Kim, who is a huge advocate for makeup, loved putting it on her daughter explaining it was a way North expressed herself.
As for Kanye, he has banned it altogether. Well, at least tried to.
So Kim’s latest Instagram photo came as a real surprise when fans saw North’s face loaded with makeup and especially eyeliner, while posing in matching outfits with her younger sister Chicago.
In fact, many accused the KKW Beauty founder of editing her daughters’ faces with the FaceTune app.
People filled with disappointment were peppered throughout the comments section of the photo, condemning the mother-of-four.
“There is no reason to have all that makeup on that child,” one fan wrote.
“I can’t imagine my kids looking back at pictures of them from their childhood and seeing that I photoshopped their nose, eyebrows, and put a makeup filter on them,” another angry fan wrote. “North’s eyebrows have eyebrows from a filter over them, chis eyebrows have a big area wiped out between them. North’s nose line disappeares where it’s been photoshopped etc. so sad!”
“Kimberly is that eyeliner on Norths’ eyes?” wrote another.
“Okay seriously Kim your daughter is 7? And her face is beat with makeup? I love you but no.”
“Really? An 8 year old with eyeliner? Y’all are sick in the head for real @kimkardashian.”
In September this year, Kim revealed that Kanye had put his foot down.
“I’d let her wear — you know, she has a little red for Christmas — I’d let her wear a red lip, or I’d let her do one pop of something,” the mum-of-four explained. “I’d let her, if she’s wearing a black dress, a black lip.”
She continued: “So, I kind of got in trouble for that. So, it’s now no more makeup.”
In October, Kim said she was still getting in trouble for it when talking to E! News.
“North is trying to get in on the makeup but she’s being blocked heavily because her dad has stopped all makeup for her until she’s a teenager,” she said. “So it’s a big discussion, a big fight in the household right now, but it’s what is best.“
“As a parent, you just learn and figure it out as you go, and we realised we didn’t really want her to wear makeup at a young age, but she sees her mom putting on lipstick and lip gloss,” she added.
“I kind of got in trouble for that. So, it’s now no more makeup.”
But, despite the fact that Kanye had made a no makeup rule, Kim went on to shock fans when she let North wear a nose ring.
North was spotted with the fake septum piercing at Joel Olsteen’s morning service at Lakewood Church in Houston in November.
We’re going to assume that Kim and North have won this battle.
