Just when you thought you knew everything there is to know about Kim Kardashian West… she springs this on you.
During the interview for her and husband Kanye West’s September Harper’s Bazaar cover, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star revealed what she deems to be her ultimate hidden talent.
“I can smell when someone has a cavity,” she said. “It’s a very specific smell – not a bad-breath smell – but something that is really strong.” (Her rapper hubby, however, took his answer in a completely different direction: “I can analyze people’s intentions. Immediately,” he said. “That’s just a warning. To everyone.”)
Of course, if you happen to have been avidly following Kardashian West’s Twitter account for the last seven years, you’d already know that.
“I have a really odd talent,” she tweeted in 2009. “I can smell when someone has cavaties [sic]! I have never been wrong yet! They don’t even have 2 be super close by me. … I can smell by having one conversation with someone! Sooo weird huh!”
This special power never fails her – “Someone has a cavity in the car I’m in. I can smell it,” she tweeted in 2010, just two two years before her cavity-sniffing skills were put to use on Khloe Kardashian’s ex Lamar Odom during an episode of KUWTK.
And the cavity reveal wasn’t the only body secret the star spilled in her interview – the star also revealed that her biggest insecurity has to do with her figure. “I would say looking fat sometimes,” she said. “I really do take it seriously. I try to do what I can and diet and stay in shape, and it does make me insecure when I’m heavy.”
That being said, she still appreciates her body – in fact, her favourite body part is her “upper stomach.” “I just seem to always have abs,” she said. “When I’m not really pregnant, I have a great two-pack.”
And as for all those nude selfies, like the infamous mirror pic with the black bars? Well, don’t read too much into them.
“I was about to get in the shower; I took a nude selfie, kept it in my phone for over a year. I just liked the picture, so I was like, ‘Let me put censor bars on it and post it,’ ” she said. “I don’t do things to be like, ‘This is powerful. I’m going to show you guys that this is my ‘message.’ I’m not that type of person. I’m empowered by it, but I’m not doing it specifically to show power.”
