The Bachelor Australia stars Laura Byrne and Matthew Johnson are good at many things. Falling in love on reality TV, hosting podcasts, designing jewellery, making the world’s cutest kids. But there’s one thing they are apparently not good at, and that’s nailing a dance routine.
In a new clip shared to Instagram, Laura and Matty J revealed they’re not the most coordinated of couples as they attempted to pull off some – let’s be honest – relatively easy choreography. But, considering it took us 75 attempts to learn the moves from the Savage TikTok dance, we’ll also be honest and say we relate to the struggle.
The pair were attempting to film the dance video to celebrate The Iconic’s 10th birthday – with both stars being ambassadors of the online retailer, a synchronized performance felt like the right way to mark the milestone. Alas, it was not.
“Remind us never to try and learn a dance again,” Matty J captioned his post, a video showing how they struggled.
Honestly we don’t know what’s better, the sound of their shoes on the wet deck or Laura saying “f–k I’m getting angry” after an unknown amount of failed attempts. Either way, an instant classic.

“If this was a Bachelor date, would Laura receive a rose?” one follower asked, to which Matty J replied: “No chance.”
In the end, the stars did manage to pull the routine off, sharing the finished product on Laura’s Instagram page.
“I can’t stop watching this but I’m not sure why… it’s like I can’t look away,” wrote fellow Bachie star and Laura’s podcast co-star, Brittany Hockley. Same, Britney.
It’s giving Ross and Monica at the New Year’s Eve bash and it’s well worth a viewing.
