As always, Intimacy Week has shone a light on all the couples’ sex troubles on MAFS. Bec and Danny are trying to push through a lack of sexual chemistry, while others aren’t having any sex at all – hi Steve and Rebecca.
Brook and Chris didn’t so much as kiss during their three weeks together before Brook left the experiment in the latest episode.
She had asked for space right before Chris set up a bubble bath, face masks and glasses of prosecco in the hopes it “pays off”.
There is one clear “libido killer” playing out between many of the couples, with sex educator Eleanor Hadley telling WHO the issue is laid bare in the dynamic between Brook and Chris.
“It sounds like she doesn’t feel safe, she’s not comfortable with this,” Eleanor told WHO.
“What women need the most when it comes to desire is actually a sense of safety… We need to feel physically, mentally [and] emotionally safe with someone to fully allow ourselves to connect deeply.
“So many people will bypass this, because of the sense of expectation, but the problem with bypassing it is that pressure and expectation are actually the biggest libido killers.”
Intimacy Week has already been blasted online by fans, with some saying it’s simply a coded name to push the couples towards having sex.
The fallout has resulted in many of the couples facing problems.

How is the push for sex impacting the MAFS couples?
A push towards ‘intimacy’ before established emotional safety is causing all kinds of havoc for the couples.
Bec admitted to Danny she was feeling insecure after he said his sexual chemistry towards her was a three out of 10.
While they are getting back on track, Bec was in tears as she explained it had a huge impact on her self-image as she was not feeling desired.
Rachel wore a blindfold and held a ‘Kiss Me (please)’ sign up to Steve, only for him to explain she felt more like a “roommate” to him than a partner.
Rebecca bought lingerie for Steven and asked him if he’d like her to put it on, only for him to reply: ‘It’s not for me’.
She had told the experts she didn’t feel desired by Steve.. .and this only solidified the feeling more for her.
Small comments like these from the grooms have been devastating for the brides, and subsequently, the couples’ sex lives.
