An emotional Ning uses her sarcasm to “self-sabotage” in a bid to get past the awkwardness of meeting her husband-to-be.
“I’m just here for the food and the drinks, not here to get married,” she says as she meets her groom, Mark.
At first, it’s obvious she’s nervous. After all, she admits:
“Because of my past, I need to protect myself – so I do push men away.”
However, she quickly changes her tune. She asked to hold his hand.
Mike takes this as a good sign, he goes on to say his sweet vowels. While they’re sweet, Ning is stressed that Mike hasn’t fallen in love before, particularly because she needs someone with life experience given she’ has three children.

“I don’t want to waste time on someone else who’s just going to leave me,” she says.
Understandable, no? Well only until she starts shutting him down again.
“It’s just an awkward situation. I can’t block him and I can’t delete him” Ning tells her bridesmaids about Mark while is sitting RIGHT NEXT TO HER.
Don’t fret though, the bride’s friends pull her aside and tell her to “zip it”, becuase she could very well have a good thing with her new groom.
Funnily enough, Ning builds up to courage to just let herself go and makes her way over to meet Mark’s mum. This move CHANGES everything, Mark is super impressed and Ning cries after she sees Mark address his parents during his speech.
So MAFS fans, at this stage the couple is happy! But it’s only episode two. So stay tuned!
