We’re not going to lie, Tyson Gordon could be the biggest piece of work we’ve ever seen on MAFS.
So when he was matched with fellow conservative Stephanie Marshall, we were intrigued to see if the experts got it right.
They’ve clashed but have shared a few vulnerable moments together too. So are Stephanie and Tyson still together?
A submissive woman
Even before his wedding day, Tyson made it clear he has a long list of don’ts for his future wife.
No one with “green hair or ‘woke’ ideals”, no one “overweight”, no one with a higher “body count” than him (in the bedroom, not in the military) and someone “submissive” who will “stay at home and look after the kids”.
Despite sharing conservative values and a love of Donald Trump, Tyson was put off by his ambitious bride’s career describing her as having “masculine energy” and was put off by her body count.
Stephanie certainly wasn’t impressed and called him out, though many viewers labelled her a hypocrite.
Another bride weighs in…
After attending the wedding, fellow MAFS bride Alissa didn’t hold back when talking to WHO about her thoughts on Tyson.
“It takes a strong woman to marry Tyson, he has a strong character and very particular values,” she said, adding that Tyson’s remarks toward Stephanie were often “hard to swallow.”
However Alissa believes Stephanie’s resilience could be the key to making the relationship work.
“I feel like that’s what Tyson also needs, he needs a strong woman to ground him, even though he doesn’t think he does.”
Tyson’s ‘inappropriate’ confession
After Tyson and Stephanie began “making progress” in their relationship, Tyson decided to take his wife out on a lunch date, and things were going well until he dropped the bombshell about his ex.
“Unfortunately, in this generation of dating, it’s hard to connect on the same wavelength,” he began. “I’ve been on a lot of dates, and sometimes I reflect on that.
“I remember in the past, I dated this Brazilian girl, I remember, she’s probably the only one, besides my wife, where I actually had those feelings of love for.”
He continued, “And I’m like, s**t, if I wasn’t so stubborn, where would I be with her now. You know what I mean? It makes you wonder.”
When Stephanie asked if he’d spoken to her while they’d been in the experiment, he said he had.
“I’ve got nothing to hide!” he added.
“The fact that he’s still in contact with her… it all just feels really wrong,” Stephanie told the producers.
“We’re friends, nothing wrong with that,” Tyson told his ‘wife’ when she asked why he’d speak to “an old flame” while in the experiment with her.
“Do you think she still has feelings for you?” she asked.
“Potentially,” he said, with Stephanie saying that that makes the relationship “inappropriate”.
As if all of this wasn’t bad enough, she then asked if Tyson was over her, and he said, “I’ll be honest with you, probably not fully.”
Stephanie’s ‘sacred space’
It’s hard to remember but filming for this year’s season took place in the second half of last year.
In a photo dump on Instagram at the end of 2025, one of Stephanie’s photos of herself was accompanied by the cryptic caption, “Your sacred space is where you can find yourself again and again.”
Is that a clue she and Tyson are dunzo? We certainly wouldn’t blame her.
