Would you be okay with your partner getting totally naked in front of a room full of people?
What about if they were stripping off in front of… the entire country?
That’s the question Laura Byrne found herself faced with when she found out fiance Matty J was going to bare all for Channel 7‘s The All New Monty.

But the heart-throb – who we first met in 2016 on The Bachelorette – wasn’t prepared for what Laura asked next.
Despite her reservations about Matty sharing his, er, package with the world, Laura has stood by her man all the way through the All New Monty process. After all, raising awareness for men’s health – in particular testicular and prostate cancer – is a cause that’s very close to the former Bachelor’s heart.
Despite making his trepidation about getting his kit off clear, the decision to take it all off was absolutely worth it for the new dad.
“I think the knock-on effect from that is so positive and that’s what really drew me to the cause,” he has previously said of why he took on the job. “For whatever reason, we guys think that we are indestructible. We’ll take more care of our car. I can remember the last time my car has been serviced, but I can’t remember the last time I went to a GP.”
Despite her relatively relaxed demeanour, Laura did have one scare about Matty’s newfound talents. The 32-year-old pranked the new mum on radio, saying he was heading to Vegas for seven weeks to dance with male revue The Thunder From Down Under… leaving her at home alone with a newborn. Ouch!
“F**k, it’s a long time,” she said of his ‘news’.
“This is my dream,” Matty insisted – hinting to his ladylove that he might be up to something!
“[Your dream is] to be nude on stage in Las Vegas?” she queried.
“It’s a dream I haven’t had for a while,” he quipped – prompting Laura to call him out on the joke.
Luckily, that’s as far as the jokes went – and Laura was in the audience on the big night for her man’s reveal, cheering him on with wild applause, laughter and so much love! (Did we mention the LOLs?!)
