Big Brother Australia 2026 has already captivated fans with its controversial housemates and spontaneous challenges.
Whether Australians are tuning in to the 24/7 livestream or just catching the highlights six nights a week, this reality TV hit has divided fans.
The show’s first eviction took place on Sunday night, and troublemaker Harmon was sent packing.
While some fans wished it was Ebony or Kyrah instead, others commented on social media that “after his goodbye speech”, they’re “100%” happy with the result.
Harmon didn’t exit the house quietly! After being evicted, he got to appoint the head of the house for the next week.
So, who did Harmon choose? Well, Ebony, of course, and fans are excited to see the inevitable chaos that lies ahead now that Ebony has a lot more power.
Speaking to WHO fresh off his eviction, Harmon dished on what it was really like in the house and the moves that ultimately led to his downfall.

Harmon didn’t see his eviction coming
After exiting the house, Harmon didn’t have any hard feelings and told WHO that he was feeling “pretty chill” about being the first evicted housemate this year.
“I remember one thing, I told my housemate, ‘The only thing I don’t want to be is first out’, and that’s exactly what I got!” he joked.
While he didn’t see himself leaving this early before entering the show, he did have a suspicion that he would be “up for noms” (nominated for eviction) based on the way he was playing it.
“But I didn’t expect it to be that many points,” he confessed. “And then when I was up for eviction, I was like, ‘Oh, have I done enough?’ I felt like I was a bit lower, but at the same time, I felt like maybe I’d done enough.”
Harmon confesses when the game really started for everyone
While Harmon didn’t think too hard about what type of housemate he was going to be before entering the Big Brother house, he did reveal that it took a while for everyone to warm up.
“I think everyone was chilling a little bit,” he said. “And then it was around noms time, and the game started. I think that’s when the game started for everyone. I kind of switched on.”
This led to some sneaky moves as Harmon hid the housemates’ coffee and salt just to stir up trouble. However, he didn’t act alone.
“A few of the boys said, ‘Harmon, mate, you’ve got to get going, you’ve got to do something,’ but there was no ‘Take this or take that,’ I was just walking around, loitering around the kitchen,” he admitted.
“I don’t really sleep at night. That’s when my brain switches on. And so yeah, I just started grabbing stuff.”
So, while there was no master plan behind his antics on the show, Harmon admitted that everyone in the house certainly kicked it up a notch or changed their behaviour once the nominations began.

Harmon’s biggest regret on the show
If Harmon could do anything “differently” on Big Brother, he told WHO he would change just one detail.
“Maybe I would try to connect more with people so I don’t get put up for noms straightaway,” he said. “Connect in a different way, because I was pretty real, but I don’t think people liked it.”
