Channel Ten may have only intended to have three bachelors on this season of The Bachelor Australia, but a fourth man is now on the cards… Damien Kelly.
Apart from this year’s The Bachelors ‘villian’ Tash Candyce and Tilly Skok’s abrupt departure from the mansion, the biggest talking point on the show seems to be Jessica Navin and her polyamorous relationship with Damien Kelly.
After the ever-contentious Tash told Jed McIntosh that Jess had a boyfriend on the outside, the drummer rushed to tell his best mate (and fellow bachelor) Felix Von Hofe that one of the 10 girls he was seeing had a partner back home.
Jess then sat down with Felix to clarify that she intended to introduce him to her open relationship on her own terms. Once he digested the news, the basketballer decided he liked Jess enough to explore the connection, despite his desire for a monogamous relationship.
Now, even with Damien in her life, the children’s entertainer has made it through to Felix’s final two, along with Abigail.
Although Jess told Felix she would be willing to surrender her relationship with Damien for him, it seemed she was having mixed thoughts on the whole thing. And Abigail even told Felix’s family as such.
It all culminated in a dramatic one-on-one between Jess and Damien during the finale, where she told Damien that he deserved someone who is “all in”, and she wanted to pursue a relationship with Felix.
During her break-up speech, Jess was interjected by the life coach who told her he was “so proud” of the decision. But then he left and told producers that he was, in fact, not ok. And, honestly, we’re pretty sure that moment was his villain origin story.

According to his Instagram, which Jess still follows (though, it’s worth nothing that Channel Ten is currently managing her account), Damien is a neuro-transformational-therapy life coach and practitioner… and we swear we know what some of those words mean!
How did Damien and Jess meet?
The dancer met Damien at the end of 2021 after coming out of a four-year relationship. When Jess explained she had reservations about settling down, it was the life coach who introduced her to alternative dating structures.
“He said, ‘Jess I want you to experience the world and connections, whether that’s with me or without me… you’re open and free to connect on a deep level with anyone, I’m not here to hold you back’,” she explained.

What has Damien said about Jess going on The Bachelor?
After Jess was casted on The Bachelors, Damien was nothing but supportive. In fact, he even drove her to meet Felix for the first time.
“He was very much of the opinion like, ‘Jess I will support you in whatever decision you make, even if that means exploring a connection with the bachelor without me’.”
Are Jess and Damien still together?
If their breakup during the Bachelor finale is another to go by, then no… they’ve called it quits.
But, like we said, Damien and Jess do still follow each other on Instagram so there’s always a chance they’re back together, or will get back together in the future.
