Jay even scored herself the first advantage of the season: the business lounge key, which gives her uninterrupted access to Jimmy during cocktail parties.

Despite the fairy tale beginning to their romance, Jay admits it wasn’t love at first sight when she first met Jimmy.

“I have never ever experienced love at first sight,” the 31-year-old told The Daily Telegraph.

“I can see an attractive guy and know he is good looking or hot but it is not until I really get to know the person that I can see whether there will be a future.”

To avoid potential spoilers, Jay remained tight-lipped when asked if she is currently in love with Jimmy.

“I don’t know if I can answer that,” she laughed.

But it wasn’t until they started swapping jokes that the Kiwi nutritionist realised Jimmy could be the one for her.

“I offered a bit of cheeky banter about how he didn’t know how to play chess and really should learn,” Jay told TV Week.
“He quick-wittedly fired back with a grin, ‘Maybe you could learn as well.’ At that point, I thought, ‘Maybe I’ve met my match.'”
