The Block 2026 auctions are almost here, and fans have been going wild with their predictions for who will take home the big prize.
After a season of non-stop drama, cheating scandals and gripes about AI use, viewers have gotten to know this year’s Blockheads quite well, which is why seeing them disappear from our screens soon feels bittersweet.
However, before we say goodbye, the final challenge awaits: The Block 2026 auction.
The reserve prices were released early this year, causing tension with fans.
All five Mount Eliza houses have a reserve price of $3.45 million, giving fans and buyers an early look at the type of figures we can expect on auction day.
The question now is: who will take home the biggest number?
Speaking to WHO, Buxton Real Estate’s Mark Nunn — one of the agents behind last year’s winning result — revealed the highest-scoring contenders and what exactly makes a house an auction success.
Who do fans believe will win The Block 2026?
Naturally, fans have their theories, and overwhelmingly there is one house viewers believe will take home the crown.
Adam and Jolene’s home – House 1 – has continually received the most votes in polls posted on social media.
However, fans have also weighed in on the reasons why, explaining that “land size” and judging throughout the series often impact the result.
“I personally like 1, but the history says when the judges constantly crap on particular houses they have won so let’s see,” one fan commented online.
“Maybe 5 for the land size and plain decor, or house 1???” another suggested. “It’s anyone’s game.”
“Probably 5 or 1,” another agreed. “5 because of land size. 1 because of popularity amongst buyers. Personally, for me, 3 has the warmth with the timber colours. 4 has expensive inclusions. Hope 2 wins so they can stick it up the judges.”
Not everyone has been basing their predictions on facts, with many fans rooting against House 1 because of Jolene’s personality.
“I found Jolene mean and moody. I’d be happy for any other team…” one viewer commented. “But I’d love them all to sell and make some money.”
“Why do people judge based on the contestants’ personality, not the houses?” another disagreed. “I think the buyers will be judging the houses, not who designed them.”

Real estate expert weighs in on the teams to look out for
Mark Nunn is the representative for Lisa and Rosco this season, and after being one of the agents behind last year’s winning result, it’s no surprise he knows what he’s doing.
While, of course, Nunn is rooting for Lisa and Rosco, he did reveal who he believes is the couple’s “biggest competition”.
“I think one and four are our biggest competition,” he told WHO. “So Adam and Jolene and Courtney and Sev. They’re our biggest competition.”
“But I would equally say we’re their biggest competition as well,” he added cheekily.
Nunn also explained why Lisa and Rosco’s house has the potential for success, revealing what details make a house sell.
“I think [Lisa and Rosco’s] position on The Block, the position on the development, [they’re] in the best position,” he said.
“We’ve got the biggest land for the three houses on the high side of the development. We’ve got the largest land out of those three houses that have got the ocean views.”
Nunn added: “But also, where our position is with the neighbouring property that joins us, it can’t be built out. So you’ve got separation with established trees and vegetation on the end of our west boundary. So this gives you a lot of that protection and privacy, which the other houses don’t have. So that’s a big advantage.”
