Roll out the roses.

Whilst Bachelor Locky Gilbert is resuming his quest for love despite COVID-19 restrictions, little information has come out regarding this year’s season of The Bachelorette.

Names like Dancing With The Stars’ Sharna Burgess and MasterChef’s Tessa Boersma have been thrown into the ring, but there are some women we would love to see find a shot at love.

Although we’re not 100 per cent sure all of these women are single, all five of our picks have made names for themselves in their careers as individuals – and some have even dabbled in reality TV before.

Keep scrolling to see who we’d love to see handing out roses this year.

1. Marlee Silva

As a proud Kamilaroi/Dunghutti woman, 24-year-old Marlee is a writer, podcaster and co-founder of Tiddas 4 Tiddas – a social media-based movement all about celebrating inspiring First Nations women and girls from around Australia.

Smart, warm and unafraid to speak out about what’s right, Marlee would waste no time in wiping out the creeps and would be a positive role model for the thousands of people tuning in.

2. Daisy Richardson

She took part in that fake Bachelor rose ceremony during this year’s season of Survivor All Stars, but the 24-year-old travel agent deserves to have the spotlight on herself. She even confessed she’d be keen in a chat with news.com.au last year.

“I’d LOVE to do The BacheloretteI mean, I don’t think I’m that cookie-cutter pristine girl that they usually get, but let’s change it up. Let’s put a country girl in there and see what happens!” she said.

3. Vakoo Kauapirura

Model Vakoo was gone too soon from the Bachelor mansion in Matt Agnew’s season and the 23-year-old herself confessed that if Ten were happy to take her on as the Bachelorette, she’d be glad to take on the role.

“Not just because there’d be, like 20 hot guys. If we had the main woman as a black woman, that would be everything. We haven’t had that before, and it would be such an eye-opener and so good to see on TV,” she told E! News last year.

4. Rebel Wilson

Pitch Perfect star Rebel said she’d be the next Bachelorette for a hefty $20 million pay cheque, but with her star power, smarts and quick wit, Channel Ten would be wise to consider it.

“My price is $20million so I don’t think [Ten] can afford it… I’m not going to expose myself publicly in that way for a low price,” Rebel, 40, told news.com.au.

“But I think it’d be interesting to represent a more real-looking woman as the Bachelorette. I think that’d be a really positive message and I think people would find it more interesting.”

5. Rose Adam

She’s a whizz in the kitchen and the owner of her own business, but we think MasterChef‘s Rose Adam should consider some more reality TV.

Her positivity, humour and warmth would simply be a joy to watch on screen and the foodie dates she’d take the guys on would leave our stomachs rumbling. We’d take a date learning how to make authentic Lebanese food any day!
