As a first-time homeowner and amateur stylist in the making (if I do say so myself), I’ve found myself gravitating towards The Block for the first time ever.
That’s no diss to the show — quite the opposite, actually. I’ve just never paid this much attention to the finer details before.
Rather than watching for casual entertainment as I have in previous seasons, I’m now watching with keen eyes as the Blockheads style each room in really specific, unique ways. I’m inspired.
I want to know exactly where Courtney and Sev got that delicious brown couch for the living room, or where Rick and Tayla found that gorgeous olive green occasional chair for the main bedroom.
Safe to say, my shopping list is growing with every episode… and my bank account is screaming for help.

Rick & Tayla
Rick and Tayla’s rumpus room had me at “that green sofa”. Green has clearly emerged as one of the most popular colour choices in interior styling this season, and this room proves exactly why.

Where Rick and Tayla went green, Courtney and Sev leaned all the way into soft, oatmeal neutrals with the big, cloud-like corner sofa doing much of the work.

Where the other two rooms lean soft and neutral, Lisa and Rosco went full cocoon mode with that deep chocolate velvet sofa and warm walnut tones throughout.
