Spice Girls manager confirms animated movie is coming our way

Talk about spicing up our lives!

Just when we thought 2019 couldn’t get any more eventful, Simon Fuller— the manager of the Spice Girls— just dropped a MAJOR bombshell.

Speaking to Billboard about his whirlwind career and managing the iconic pop princesses, Fuller said the girl group will be starring in their own animated film!

“I’m so happy for the girls,” he said. “What’s coming next is that we are going to be doing lots of exciting things. We’ll be making an animated movie and there are lots of exciting plans to come.”

While Fuller didn’t share any specifics about the film, in March of last year, insiders told Variety that Ginger Spice (Geri Halliwell), Baby Spice (Emma Bunton), Scary Spice (Melanie Brown), and Sporty Spice (Melanie Chisholm) will star in what is expected to be a superhero film! Apparently, each group member will voice a character that is inspired by their personality.

In the meantime, the band will be warming up their vocals and practising their steps as they prepare for their UK reunion tour. Unfortunately, former band member Victoria Beckham, aka Posh Spice, won’t be joining the gals. She announced the sad news on Instagram back in November of 2018.

Speaking about the tour, Fuller said this tour will put them back on the map.

“The last tour we did seven or eight years ago the demand was equal, if not maybe even more. It’s a global phenomenon. They’re more timely now than ever and it’s fantastic.  They deserve it.”
