Hot on the heels of The Bachelorette finale, it’s safe to say Angie Kent is currently one of Australia’s most talked-about reality TV stars.

But despite the added fame that’s come with her return to our screens, the former Gogglebox star was left red-faced yesterday when just 10 fans initially showed up to her book signing in Sydney.
After letting 278, 000 of her Instagram followers know she’d be making an appearance at Dymocks’ George Street book store, Angie was humiliated when the event turned out to be a flop.
“Nobody cheered or anything as she arrived, and Angie just awkwardly walked to the table. There were more staff there than fans at the start,” the onlooker told the Daily Mail.
The outlet claims a nervous Angie stood next to Lisa Wilkinson’s husband Peter FitzSimons while he finished his book signing, before taking a seat by a small table near the store’s entrance.
After a rough start to the day, 80 fans eventually turned up to meet the star, with Angie offering to take photos with fans and sign a copy of her new book, If You Don’t Laugh You’ll Cry.
The uncomfortable outing comes after the I’m A Celeb… Get Me Out Of Here! star was snapped in a tense confrontation with her boyfriend, Carlin Sterritt. On Tuesday, Angie and her actor boyfriend Carlinn Sterritt were spotted inside a Melbourne shopping centre where, according to onlookers, they seemed “distant” and disinterested in chatting. After what the spy described as a “heated conversation”, Angie and Carlin are said to have spent the rest of the outing on their mobile phones.
To make matters worse for Angie, despite sparking outrage when Carlin’s brother confirmed he was only on the series “to boost his acting career”, an insider recently said many of his co-stars were far more concerned about Angie’s intentions! According to New Idea’s source, a number of the boys were convinced she wasn’t looking for love, rather signed on to promote her new book.
“I have mutual friends with her and asked my mates and they said she’s nothing like what you see,” one former Bachelorette star wrote in a group chat among the show’s contestants. “I’m sure he [Carlin] is [on there for love]. But she isn’t.”
“She only wants fame…,” another added.
A different source echoed a similar sentiment, saying: “She was jobless before the show, she wasn’t allowed back on Gogglebox, she was doing nothing after I’m A Celeb. Now coincidentally, she’s releasing a book. This whole thing is a publicity stunt for her to get more famous. She’s just climbing that ladder of fame.”
More fuel was added to the split fire when Angie said she’s planning to take her relationship with Carlin slow.
Speaking in the current issue of Vogue Australia, Angie said she would be moving back to Sydney soon, but won’t be living with her fitness trainer boyfriend.
“I will be looking at moving back to Sydney at the beginning of next year,” said Angie, who currently lives in the Sunshine Coast.“That’s kind of what we’ve had a chat about. Not together, we don’t want to live together yet.
“We just want to have [a] nice, average, normal relationship where we get to go out on a date.”
But while they may be playing it safe with their living arrangements, Angie hasn’t been shy about dishing on their sex life, admitting everything in the bedroom is “excellent”!
“Everybody thinks he’s the nice little Christian boy, but watch out for those Christian boys. They’re naughty,” the 29-year-old said on the Kyle and Jackie O Show
