The Voice coach Guy Sebastian is usually known to be a happy-go-lucky kind of guy.

But when putting forward his critiques of artists on the Channel Nine singing show, the 38-year-old can often be brutally honest.
And this was the case on Monday night’s episode of The Voice when he was weighing in on the Playoff between newly formed duo Goldie who were taking on Claudia Harrison.

Guy complained that Goldi’s performance of Never Be Like You didn’t have the “cool” factor.
“I’ll be brutally honest here, I felt like I could really feel the inexperience in both of those performances,” he said of both Goldi and Claudia.
But he saved his most savage criticism for Goldi members Matt Evans and Janie Gordon.
“I just don’t get the joining together of you two,” he confessed.
He added: “You’re going to hate me for this but it felt like a Glee version of the song. It just didn’t feel like it was cool.”

Matt and Janie didn’t seem too perturbed by the comment, admitting to host Renee Bargh backstage that they’ll take his advice on board.
Meanwhile, on-stage, Delta was losing it, complaining to the other coaches about Guy.
“He’d prefer to sh*t on my team,” she raged.
Guy himself even admitted that his comments may have been a little harsh.
“Sometimes I do say things and afterwards, I go ‘That’s awful,’” he said.

Fellow coach Boy George found the situation amusing, joking, “Who knew? That Guy was the b*tchy one!”
In the Battles round, Delta came under fire for refusing to choose between Matt and Janie and instead asking them to join forces as a duo.
“I understand that you’re both individual artists and I know you have your own lanes, but at this point, what I would like to do is to bring you forward as a duet,” Delta told Matt and Janie, asking if they’d consider teaming up to move forward.
Despite reservations about their different music styles and the fact they live on different sides on the country, Matt and Janie ultimately decided to take Delta up on her controversial offer.
The sneaky move left the other coaches shocked at the turn of events.
