This morning, Tristan Thompson thought it’d be a reaaaallyyyy good idea to wish Khloe Kardashian a happy 35th birthday on the most public platform known to man— Instagram. I don’t know about you but I’d rather shrivel up into a tiny ball and ugly cry for 18 hours straight than receive a bday message from my sleazy ex-boyfriend who hooked up with my little sisters best friend.
“Happy birthday @khloekardashian,” he captioned a photo of the Good American founder with their 14-month-old daughter True. “You are the most beautiful human I have ever met inside and out,” he continued. “Thank you for being an amazing mommy to our princess True. She is blessed to have someone like you to look up to. I wish you nothing but more success and sending you positive blessing your way. Enjoy your day Koko.”
I can’t, like, is he joking about the positive blessing? My mouth was as wide open as True’s when I read his post.
This is the first time Tristan has addressed Khloe publically since his second cheating scandal— which involved Kylie Jenner’s best Jordyn Woods— made headlines.
His strange and oddly pleasant message comes days after the explosive Keeping Up With The Kardashians episode dove deeply into the scandal, showing the Kardashians’ initial reaction to his spiteful actions.
“Tristan… we’ve all known what he’s capable of — look what he did when I was nine months pregnant” Khloe told her sisters Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner, referring to the first time he cheated on her days before she was due to give birth to their now one-year-old daughter, True. “But I knew who he was, I never, in a million years, thought that’s who she was,” she said, referencing Kylie’s “wifey”, Jordyn.
The episode also showed a worrying exchange between Khloe and Tristan, claiming he threatened to hurt himself.
“He’s like, ‘I can’t stop thinking about you and what mess I have caused,’ ” the mum-of-one told Kourtney’s ex-boyfriend, Scott Disick. “He’s doing this to get a reaction out of me. Oh, so I’m just allowed to say ‘I’m going to kill myself’ at any time? That’s crazy.”

“He says he told Khloe he didn’t want to live without her, but that didn’t mean he wanted to kill himself,” a source close to the star told Radar Online. “He is pissed off because a ton of people, including his family members and NBA execs, are reaching out to him very worried.”
Although Khloe is reportedly still reeling from the cheating scandal, rumour has it the former couple weren’t “technically” together at the time.
“When the Jordyn drama happened, Khloé and Tristan were not in a proper relationship,” a source told PEOPLE.com. “They had not been for weeks. They didn’t even spend Valentine’s Day together, which was right before he messed around with Jordyn.”
