And while Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner both agreed in a joint statement last year that they “have had one of the most significant relationships together and respect each other’s choices,” it appears there is bad blood between the duo.

Page Six recently reported that the pair— who were the executive producers of HBO’s hit series, ‘Girls’—have ceased contact, with Konner reportedly telling a friend last month that “she was relieved to be free from Dunham’s never-ending circus of public drama.”

Also contributing to their split was how they allegedly handled the infamous allegations against fellow ‘Girls’ writer, Murray Miller. Last year, Dunham and Konner issued a joint statement defending Miller, who was accused of rape. Dunham later apologised for to the alleged victims for her insensitivity and the way she broached the topic.

Page six reported that due to her high public profile, she was forced to cop criticism for a decision she and Konner made together, further highlighting the disparity in their friendship and working relationship.
