This morning, Hartridge’s partner Jake Hazell— who featured regularly on her YouTube channel— thanked his fans for their support and kind messages, assuring those worried that he is doing “fine”.

“I have had so many messages from people wanting to check my wellbeing. For all those who care about my recovery, I am fine. I just wanted to say thank you for all the nice messages,” Hazell said holding back tears.

“Emily was the person who encouraged me to talk about how I was feeling. So, I just wanted to put a video out here because it seems the easiest way to say thank you and let people know that I’m okay.”

“I love you all and I love Emily, and I really appreciate the support, so thank you,” Hazell concluded.

The British YouTuber, who was also a personal trainer and presenter, passed away on Friday after being involved in a road accident in London.

According to reports, Emily’s e-scooter collided with a lorry – it was the first fatal collision involving an e-scooter in Britain, according to The Guardian.

Emily’s death was announced on her Instagram account on Sunday.

“Hi everyone. This is a horrible thing to have to say over Instagram but we know many of you were expecting to see Emily today and this is the only way to contact you all at once,” the message read.

“Emily was involved in an accident yesterday and passed away. We all loved her to bits and she will never be forgotten.”
