Long live your lashes!

Although lash extensions are a great way to elevate your makeup, they can require some upkeep to keep them looking fresh. Lady Lash director Charlotte Creasey explains the importance of following aftercare advice to keep your lashes looking full.

Her top tip is to avoid waterproof makeup and steer clear of oil products, so try cleansing your skin with micellar water instead.

Wash your lashes daily with a lash cleanser and avoid picking or fiddling with them.

Get your glow on

Extend the life of your faux tan so you’re making fewer trips to the salon and loving your results in between.

Kate Joseph, director of Dolce Vita Beaute, suggests exfoliating your skin before your spray tan to remove any dead skin cells and ensure you get an even tan. Get your hands on a scalp and body scrub like We Are Paradox’s to remove the top layer of dead skin cells, leaving you feeling silky smooth.

Moisturise your skin twice a day with a body moisturiser that has no acids or exfoliants. Hydrated skin maintains a tan for longer than dry, flaky skin.

Fresh Faced

If you’re looking to maintain a glow in between your facial appointments, skin expert Dr Ayah Siddiqi, founder of Harmony Medical Aesthetics, recommends using the CurrentBody Skin Mini Microderm. It’s a clever device that gently exfoliates using an exfoliating head and gentle suction technology. By using this two to three times a week, you’ll notice that it reduces pores, evens out skin tone and smooths fine lines.

Glossy Locks

If you’re a regular at the hair salon, you’ll understand the toll that dyes take on your locks and how quickly a fresh colour can fade. Renee Meredith, Revlon’s professional national education manager, explains that customising your haircare routine can help colour last longer, especially for those who experience brassiness.

She suggests using Revlon’s anti-brassiness drops with your shampoo or conditioner, which uses a dual action purple pigment to help balance the scalp’s microbiome and remove yellow tones from white, blonde or grey hair. Or try Goldwell’s conditioner to keep your hair looking bright and feeling soft.
