On October 23, we watched as Pretty Little Liars alum Ashley Benson supported her girlfriend Cara Delevingne at the launch of the model’s collaboration with fashion brand Nasty Gal.

Now, less than two months on, it seems the relationship has crumbled, with Cara herself apparently confirming the pair are no more.
Taking to Twitter, the 27-year-old seemingly broke the news in an alarmingly direct message, which has since been deleted. It read simply:
“Me and Ashley broke up.”
Within 20 minutes, the terse tweet had been removed – but not before plenty of fans and followers had the chance to share her original comment, and offer their support, love and condolences.
The pair have been dating for around 18 months, with Cara confirming they were an item at the TrevorLIVE New York Gala in June. When asked why she chose to go public with their romance, she said: “I don’t know… because it is Pride, it’s been 50 years since Stonewall happened and I don’t know. It’s been just about our one year anniversary so, why not?”
However, the holiday heartbreak might not be as clear-cut as it seems! According to Just Jared, it wasn’t Cara who announced the so-called breakup news, but a hacker who took control of the model’s account.
Neither Cara or Ashley has yet commented on either the tweet or the alleged split, but Cara did leave a comment on an Instagram snap of Ashley on December 6 – just four days prior to the alleged split – that would suggest they are still very much together.
Commenting on a saucy black and white snap of Ashley naked but for some boots and a jacket, celebrity pal Rachel Brosnahan posted “😮”, to which Cara replied, “Tell me about it.”
A few comments later, Ashley jumped in with her own message back to her gf: “@caradelevingne ❤︎ I love you”
Rumours about the pair’s relationship swirled for months before they unofficially confirmed them when spotted at London’s Heathrow Airport, making out for the entire world to see, in mid-August 2018.
The loved-up couple sparked engagement rumours almost a year later in July when eagle-eyed Instagram fans noticed that both women were wearing matching rings in a video they’d posted while vacationing in Saint-Tropez.
“Cara Delevingne and Ashley Benson are officially ENGAGED..!!!?!?! can you hear me crying!?!?!?” one fan Tweeted.
“Ashley Benson and Cara Delevingne got engaged, we won again gays,” joked another Twitter user.
