Last week, Chris Dawson appeared via video in Sydney’s Central Local Court, where he did not apply for bail over the disappearance and presumed murder of his wife Lynette.

At the time his lawyer Greg Walsh had not made an application.

Now, we’ve learned that they offered $1.5 million in bail.
Magistrate Robert Williams will make his bail decision on Monday.

Dawson will spend the weekend in jail.

Lynette Dawson vanished in 1982, and Mr Dawson has now been charged with her murder.
Arrested last week, 70-year-old Dawson has always maintained his innocence.

His family previously claimed Lynette ran away in 1982.
