Elsa Pataky has shared some adorable footage of family time to her Instagram Stories, featuring Chris taking their three kids surfing in Byron Bay.
The sweet montage started with Elsa’s son carrying his surfboard on his head as he walked towards the water, with a caption reading ‘surfing time!’
Fans also saw Chris walking towards the water in his wetsuit, carrying two surfboards with daughter India walking beside him.
Elsa seemed to watch on as the young family hit the waves in the late-afternoon sun.
The Hemsworth family, who are based in Byron Bay, are currently subject to a seven-day snap lockdown as an active case appeared in the area earlier this week.
However, locals are still allowed out to exercise, making for the perfect opportunity for the family to head out for some recreation time.
Byron Bay also turned it on with a stunning sunset, prompting Elsa to post another short video of the expansive sky, writing “No filters.”
The family of five are beloved by Australians everywhere, given Chris’s status as a fun-loving dad.
Chris, Elsa and their kids – nine-year-old India and seven-year-old twins Sasha and Tristan, are often seen getting up to all sorts of shenanigans on Instagram – dirt biking, riding horses, and spending time on the water.
Elsa recently posted to wish her husband a happy Father’s Day, posting a photo of Chris asleep with all the kids in his arms.
“Happy Father’s Day to this amazing dad, he can’t keep up with the kids but he tries 😂😘,” she shared.
Fans were fast to share their delight in the comments.
“😂 Ain’t no training efficient enough for a man to keep up with the Kids 😋 Enjoy this special day with your beautiful family Elsa 🤗,” one shared.
“Thor almighty gets taken out by three munchkins 🤦🏼♀️❤️,” wrote another, referencing Chris’s famous Hollywood role as Thor in the Marvel franchise.
“Ohhh this photo is Amazing 💛💛💛 beautiful family!” another said.
Their children’s privacy is an important issue for Chris and Elsa, who have opted to not share the kids’ faces on social media.
Although they are often seen in pictures, they are usually shot from behind, with their faces obscured, or tucked away under motorcycle helmets.
“The exploitation is something I’m very wary of. We’ve been offered things like, ‘advertise such-and-such and have dinner with your family,” he told GQ magazine in 2018.
“There’s no way.”
