US President Donald Trump has caused outrage yet again. Not for denying climate change this time, or boasting about grabbing women, or trying to build walls – but for not understanding how to give lollies to a child trick-or-treating for Halloween.

His wife First Lady Melania Trump was also confused too.

It’s not rocket science, guys. You put the treats in the bag – not on the head.

The viral moment was captured by Sky News of Donald standing in front of the White House for the annual treat-giving Halloween ritual. An excited kid showed up dressed as a minion from the popular 2010 film Despicable Me, and Donald decided to place a chocolate bar on the child’s head. Melania followed suit.

The child in question couldn’t reach his head because of the inflated costume, and the bars fell to the ground, so the child thought he wasn’t getting any from the POTUS and FLOTUS.

It has been claimed a White House aide stepped in to pick the bars up and put them in the child’s Halloween bag – where they belonged.

Not surprisingly, the moment took off on Twitter.

One person wrote: “How can they BOTH NOT know how to put candy in a BAG which is literally in the baby’s HANDS ?!?!?”

Another added: “I just showed this to my coworker who is lowkey a trump supporter & he just argued me down that it’s because the kid didn’t have a bag. HE DOES, but lets say he didn’t. Is placing a chocolate bar on the kid’s head the best solution? his supporters are dedicated to his stupidity.”

Another said: “Trump mocks a minion while keeping promised rewards out of reach.

It’s almost like this is a metaphor or something…”

One Twitter user wrote on social media: “Finally a celebration they are fit for. Our POTUS and FLOTUS are the scariest thing I’ve ever seen.”
