Matildas’ star Ellie Carpenter is engaged!
The 23-year-old soccer star shared the exciting news via Instagram alongside her partner Daniëlle van de Donk, 32.
“My person for life ❤️💍!!,” Daniëlle captioned the adorable photo, in which she can be seen showcasing a ring whilst embraced by Ellie.
The women’s teammates and fans were quick to congratulate the couple, with Matildas’ captain Sam Kerr replying “Let’s goooooo” and “Congrats guys xx”.
“Congrats lovers,” added Matildas defender Alanna Kennedy.
“My girrrrrrlllllssss so damn happy for you guys. Love you both so much,” added Emily Gielnik.

Ellie and Daniëlle have kept many details of their relationship under wraps but fans believe they have been dating for around a year.
The couple play together for French D1 Féminine club Lyon after Ellie joined the club in 2020 and Daniëlle joined the following year after leaving Arsenal.
The pair went public a year later after posting a collection of photos together from St Tropez after their team won the Champions Leaueg.
Ellie’s exciting news comes amid a spate of recent engagements among The Matildas.
Matildas captain Sam Kerr announced her engagement to American footballer Kristie Mews in November, whilst Emily Van Egmond also popped the question a few months earlier to influencer Kat Thompson.
