Married At First Sight alumni Belinda Vickers has confirmed her split with on-screen husband, Patrick Dwyer
Taking to their Instagram stories with the same message, the couple addressed recent rumours that they had split, since choosing to continue their relationship at the end of the show’s most recent season.
“We would like to address the current rumours of our split and can confirm we have gone our separate ways. We have enjoyed a relationship together for over nine months,” they said.
“However, we do not want the same things in love and life. We appreciate all the love and support we have received through our journey,” they finished.
Rumours of the split began after a noticeable absence from each others’ social media pages.
While the couple had already been separated due to COVID-19, things became more obvious after Patrick unfollowed his partner on Instagram.
In fact, the personal trainer unfollowed everyone – his following count still remains at zero.
Belinda and Patrick seemed to be one of the rare couples who made it work after the series ended, establishing their relationship at final vows and remaining together for the following months.
They last appeared together on Patrick’s Instagram, hanging out in a park.
“I guess reality TV can work ❤️,” he captioned the post.
He also posted a short video of their time together on MAFS, explaining that he was posting it because Belinda was in isolation, and he was unable to see her.
The news comes just as another couple from their season, Bruce Ruthven and Melissa Rawson, announce that they are engaged and expecting twins.
Although a few MAFS brides have gone on to have babies, twins are a first for the franchise.
