John Robertson returns to Married At First Sight in 2018 after failing to find love on season 4 of the show.
“I thought I’d get one shot at it, and that’s it,” the 54-year-old father told TheFIX. “I’m lucky enough to have another chance, and I’m very much looking forward to having another go at finding love.”
Fans of the show will remember John’s disastrous ‘married’ to Deborah who repeatedly expressed her disappointment at not being paired with a “Polynesian man”.
John revealed that he did have reservations about appearing on the show for a second time, but in the end his daughters’ approval won him over.
“We talked over their reservations, and they said to me, ‘Dad, final decision is yours and we’ll support you,’ and that’s all I needed,” he said
MAFS season 5 premieres on January 29.
