Last week Ruby Rose took to Instagram to let fans know that after years of suffering from intense back pain she made the decision to follow her doctor’s orders and have surgery.
At the time, she took to social media to share the sad health news. “So..For the past few years (decade) I’ve been dealing with a spine issue,” Rose wrote on Twitter. “I am now recovering from a back procedure, but I do need to stay active, so before I get seen with my cane and wheel chair in public, I’d rather put it out there that I’m fine and going to be fine.”
The Orange Is The New Black star also posted her news alongside a snap of herself in a wheelchair – with her girlfriend Jessica Origliasso – who appeared to be supporting her long-time lover during a difficult healing process.
After a bit of rest, Rose has once again taken to Instagram to post a series of pictures updating her fans on her progress as she appears to be walking now – with a cane in hand and in one shot even a zimmer frame.
“Progress” and “I’ve grown accustomed to my cane…” the 31-year-old simply captioned the snaps.
But this isn’t the only health update Rose has given fans, last week she also confirmed that she’d vowed to quit smoking. “On the plus side guess who had to quit smoking !!!!! YAY!!!! Im done ! I’m finally done.. that filthy, smelly, dirty, slowly killing you while you pay for it to suffocate you, is finally out of my life. I quit yesterday. And for my back ( and Mum ) I’ll never start again.”
Good stuff! Wishing the star a speedy recovery and a whole lot of strength as on her quest to give up smoking.
