Stu Laundy has opened up about his split from Sophie Monk, revealing how he found out about their breakup.
Monk, 38, confirmed that the Bachelorette couple had broken up via Instagram over the weekend, explaining to Australia that despite giving it her “best shot”, they are just “very different people”.
According to Laundy, he too found out about the split from that same post on social media.
“It was Soph’s [decision] — and apart from being so publicly brushed, I have no hard feelings whatsoever,” he told Fitzy and Wippa on their radio show this morning.
“I sort of found out via Instagram, but we both knew in our hearts it was pushing toward a friendship, I think it was a decision we’d both been coming to.”
Giving his own reason for their split, the 44-year-old said they were better off as friends.
