Before the gorgeous Sophie Monk had us glued to our screens as she handed out roses on The Bachelorette, the star dated Good Charlotte singer Benji Madden and while he was recently in Australia, it appears the rocker was not interested in talking about his former flame.
The two who dated in 2006 and even got engaged, parted ways a LONG time ago, as we’ve witness Benji moved on by marrying Cameron Dias and our Soph got her heartbroken when she chose to give her final Bachelorette rose to Stu Laundy.
Despite breaking up almost, a decade ago, Benji clearly isn’t ready to talk about his ex.
According to New Idea, a source who attended Good Charlotte performance at Foxtel’s V Island Party in Sydney revealed that during a Q and A with the audience, Benji appeared to avoid talking about his famous ex.
The publication reports that one eager fan asked which of the brothers dated Sophie. And, an onlooker told the mag that both the brothers looked uncomfortable.
“They clearly didn’t want to talk about Sophie,” the source said. “It was kind of awkward that he didn’t even acknowledge her.”
Rejecting any further chat about his former fiancé, the Madden brother quickly responded, “Next question.”
Funnily enough, in the past, Sophie Monk previously revealed that she had a super awkward run-in with Benji in 2014.
“I saw him actually but he wasn’t warm [or] welcoming [as] I was,” she told Kyle and Jackie O. “I gave him a hug, but no arms came out, it was the worst! It was so embarrassing.”
