The Bachelorette viewers saw Sophie Monk eliminate Apollo Jackson after their very awkward final date, but according to Apollo, it wasn’t meant to go the way it did.
Speaking to NOVA’s Chrissie, Sam & Browny this morning the magician said that he was so nervous the wrong words were coming out of his mouth.
“It was awkward. I was absolutely exhausted and I was nervous, I couldn’t string together a proper sentence,” the 25-year-old told the hosts.
He continued, “I think things were going really great until last night’s date. Thank god the bread sticks were there to fill the silence hey…I did choke.”
When Chrissie Swan brought up the age gap between Apollo and Sophie, 37, he confessed that he meant to say he was ready to have kids in three to six years, not married.
“My answer was supposed to be in regard to having kids, 3 to 6 years, but I stumbled and said married 3 to 6 years.”
So would Sophie have kept Apollo in the competition if she had known what he really meant to say?
Tonight Sophie will choose between the final two men, Stu Laundy and Jarrod Woodgate, in the season’s final episode filmed in Fiji.
