Alisha Aitken-Radburn has revealed how contestants have sex on Bachelor in Paradise, the star whose DMs she slid into, and her ingenious way of figuring out who won her season.

The 28-year-old, who appeared on Nick ‘Honey Badger’ Cummins’ season in 2018, revealed rare behind the scenes secrets during an Instagram Stories Q&A.
When asked if contestants can have sex away from the cameras while on Bachelor In Paradise, Alisha revealed it is possible.
“Yes on one night particularly (away from the camera permanently fixed in your room),” she said.
“It’s after your night date following meeting your family/friends, you’re also left relatively alone in the morning.”
Alisha, who met her now-boyfriend Glenn Smith while filming the spin-off, said they went for a walk and chatted on a secluded beach before meeting up with production for breakfast.
Alisha, a former Labor Party staffer, admitted appearing on The Bachelor franchise potentially could have impacted her employment opportunities.
“But I’ve basically been employed in my industry in various capacities through the three shows I’ve been a part of and it’s given me a platform I’m very grateful for.”
Alisha has appeared on Triple J’s Hack program as a result, which she says relates to her political work.
“I’m very sure (read: I know) there are people out there who think negatively towards people who go on reality TV,” she said.
“But at the end of the day you’ve just got to choose the path you think will bring you the most joy and be authentic because that’s where you’ll find the most success.”
Alisha also revealed she slid into the DMs of Paddy Colliar, who appeared on Ali Oetjen’s season of The Bachelorette, prior to heading to Paradise.
But Alisha said that upon arriving in Fiji for filming, Paddy apparently didn’t recognise her or know who she was.
“People definitely pregame, so you can see that through the plot lines of last season but it’s also very hard to keep up an act in there,” she said.
“The biggest thing I’ve learnt is that you really need to have that first, in-person chat to know if you have a spark. You might be into someone on TV but in person you just don’t click.”
When asked if she was aware of which girls made it to the final four of Nick’s season, Alisha revealed the clever way she figured out the outcome.
“We’d all exchanged numbers and most of us had a page of them in a diary we’d brought in,” she said.
“I was a sicko and would ring through to see whose phone had a dial tone or not and you could vaguely work out the order of elimination from there.”
Alisha said the hardest part about going on reality television was dealing with online trolls when her season of The Bachelor aired.
The 28-year-old shared screenshots of rude messages she has received over the years, with bullies commenting vile threats and insults on her posts.
Alisha had a Bachelor in Paradise romance with Jules Bourne during the spin-off’s second season.
She then came back for the third season of Paradise the following year where she found love with Glenn, who appeared on Angie Kent’s season of The Bachelorette.
