After gracing the cover of Marie Claire’s August issue, Blake Lively has revealed the plans she has for her kids with husband, Ryan Reynolds.
In an interview with the style magazine, Lively began by explaining, “My husband and I chose a profession and a side effect of that is your personal life is public”.
“Our child hasn’t had the opportunity to choose whether or not she wants her personal life to be public or not,” she continued. “So in order to give her as much normality as possible, we want her to have a childhood like we had.”
The 28-year-old actress, who is currently pregnant with her second baby, has said that she wants her 1-year-old daughter, James, to grow up with a sense of normalcy, away from the pressures of Hollywood. She added, “we can’t throw her into the lion’s den that is L.A.”.
The Café Society star also confessed, “I’ve always been innately maternal my whole life”.
And in terms of her career, the actress commented, “I’m always ambitious about filmmaking,” before continuing “but I love my personal life so much – and my family so much – that it takes a lot to make me want to leave the house. Most of the things I do, I fight for. But to want to fight for something? I have to be really stimulated by it.”
Lively is currently promoting her new movie, The Shallows. Blake shared the following picture to Instagram with the caption, “#TheShallows premiere. Terrible at hiding my excitement.”
